The Great Commission

Hey everyone!
I know I haven't posted in forever- school and such has gotten in the way. Anyway, I just wanted to share a few little things with you.
Two weeks ago I had the privilege of going on a missions trip to Lakeside Christian Camp in Massachusetts. It was so much fun, and we got so much accomplished!! One of the days was set aside for evangelism. Not everyone went, but the kids who professed faith were expected to. So I will admit, I was pretty nervous, but I didn't really have a choice whether I went or not. :) It turned out we were street evangelizing. We were helping out a local church that went out street evangelizing every Thursday. The area was kind of redneck and rough, but very friendly. (Made me feel at home) I really thought that no one would take our pamphlets, or willingly stand there and listen to us, but I pleasantly surprised that many people not only took the pamphlets, but said they would check out the church!
It now amazes me how much I doubted God's power. Did I really think that He couldn't make those people interested in the gospel? What an untrusting person I am. How can I trust all my friends and family, when I can't even trust God, the only one that can really guarantee anything?
The other thing that amazed me is my unwillingness to speak up. I was in a group with four other people. I was the only person who didn't say anything. Actually, I said two things. "Have a nice day!" and "Bye!" That's it. I am not sure if unwillingness is the right word. I really wanted to speak, but I couldn't. I couldn't make myself open my mouth to talk to these strangers. Halfway through the day I realized that I couldn't make myself talk. Only God could do that. I prayed and asked God to take control of my hands and my mouth. I still didn't say anything. It taught me an important lesson though. One run in with a stranger might be their only chance to hear the gospel, and I don't want to blow that. I don't want to be the one that cowers in the corner because she's too afraid to talk to strangers. I want to be a part of the Great Commission.
Please pray for me as I struggle with this realization. I know it's not right to keep my mouth shut about God's word. I want to do His will, and spread his word without shame.
Thank you all!

Love,
Grace <3

Prayer Request

Hey everyone! How's life?
I have a prayer request. There is a little girl I know who was born with down syndrome. She is so sweet and adorable! She is in the hospital because she was having breathing problems. It turns out that her aortic arch is pressing down on her lung, making it difficult to breathe. If you could pray for a swift recovery I would very much appreciate it. I'm not sure what the plans are medically yet.
This little girl has a long rocky road ahead of her, they are already talking about some surgery ahead. Please pray for her and her family. Thank you so much!

Love,

I could have daaaanced all niiight

Hey everybody!
How was your holiday season? Mine was fantabulous. I did something new this time. I went swing dancing! It was soo much fun.
The second picture is my friends and I dancing to gangnam style. My friend Colleen and I requested it. :)
I thought the whole dancing thing would be kinda awkward, but actually, the dancing was so fast we didn't even have to look into each others faces half the time! And during the slow dances where my friend and I didn't have time to hide, we ended up dancing with our guy friends and it was just fun. If you haven't done any dancing, and have the chance, you should go for it. It's a ton of fun. And that's coming from me, a girl who is not a real touchy feely person. :)

... But mostly Shopping Shopping Shopping!!!

Merry Christmas eve eve eve everybody!!
I had a fabulous day today, did you guys? My sister is home from college for a whole month!! Today her friend and her sister (who's my friend) and Allison and I all went last minute Christmas shopping at the University Mall. It was so crowded!! All the parking lots were full, so we had to park at the Vitamin Shoppe nearby instead.
About ten stores, two coffees, (no I didn't drink both. Actually, I didn't drink either.) and an armful of bags later, we decided to head to the OTHER mall. It was incredibly cold with the wind coming off the lake, and we had to walk downtown to get there, but it was worth it. Church street was completely decked out in amazing white lights.

By the way, that weird blob in the upper left hand corner is a snowflake that fell on my lens. :)
I had so much fun, and I even bought a dress!! That's totally amazing for me, because I really don't like wearing skirts or dresses. LOL like my awesome socks? :)
This one's for Purplepixie. :) I know from your blog that you love One Direction, so I thought I'd post this for you. I couldn't help it, I had to take this picture. :D
Merry Christmas everyone! I hope this Christmas brings joy and peace to all.
God Bless!
